The Story Behind Slowed Auto

Founded in Norfolk, Slowed Auto was born from my passion for cars and a desire to change the automotive accessories game. I’m Shelby—the owner and creator behind this brand. I started Slowed Auto because I was tired of seeing the same boring, generic, and frankly cringe-worthy stickers and air fresheners that didn’t really mean anything to the car scene. The name “Slowed auto” doesn’t really have any meaning, it was just a cool name !

I wanted something different. Something with purpose.

‘Slowed Auto’ exists to help inspire people to truly become part of the automotive community. It’s about making your car feel like yours, and showing that anyone can chase their dreams if they’re willing to try. My goal is to create accessories and apparel that actually speak to car enthusiasts—pieces with real meaning and personality.

Another big part of why I started Slowed Auto is to show that the automotive world isn’t just for men. As a female-run business in a male-dominated industry, I want to lead by example and show that women can have just as much love, passion, and knowledge about cars. This brand is here to represent everyone who shares that drive, regardless of who they are.
